Terral has spent his career in non-profit organizations supporting adults who have mental health illness and developmental disability as part of their identity. Terral became captured by human-centered design when his organization attended a design sprint at Overlap. He has been running with, learning and using this model in his organization ever since. He is passionate about embedding this model of change to solve complex problems into the culture of his workplace to help build capacity for the whole organization. As a Sessional Instructor at the University of Waterloo, Terral is focused on creating engaging and interactive sessions using real stories to back theoretical concepts. He enjoys opportunities for critical reflection and deep questions about how theories, models and ideas show up in real life. Terral brings these elements into the learning sessions through the Creative Problem Solving School with Overlap. Terral holds a Masters of Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University.
